Common Problems and Solutions in ThermoCouple Calibration

ThermoCouple calibration system is mainly composed of intelligent multichannel thermometer, temperature calibration system software, precision liquid calibration bath, thermocouple calibration furnace, etc.It is mainly used for automatic calibration and verification of various thermocouples, thermal resistances, various thermometers, etc. The entire calibration process is automatically completed under the control of the temperature calibration/verification system software. When working, what are the common problems and solutions in thermocouple calibration? The new nickel-chromium-nickel-silicon thermocouple (type K) is unqualified in the calibration

Solution:

During the verification work, I encountered a newly purchased K-type base metal thermocouple, which was judged as unqualified after the calibration. After analysis, it may be that the manufacturer did not anneal all the wires used to make the thermocouple. The solution is to carry out verification after the annealing procedure. 

After the thermocouple calibration program is started, the temperature of the reference junction displays "0.00" or prompts "the reference junction is abnormal"

Solutions: 

(1) This situation usually occurs after the digital multimeter is sent for inspection and reinstalled. Check whether the communication settings of the digital multimeter are correct, whether the positions of the front and rear keys are set correctly, and whether the connection with the scanner is correct

(2) You can also use the drop-down items "Scanner Communication Test" and "Digital Meter Communication Test" in the menu bar of the program interface to find the problem.

During the verification, the temperature of the thermocouple calibration furnace cannot be stabilized to the specified index for a long time.

Solution:

(1) Check whether the temperature control PID parameters of thermocouple calibration furnace in the verification software have been changed; 

(2) If the millivolt value displayed by the digital multimeter jumps at this time, there is probably interference, check whether the outer shell of the verification furnace is well grounded; 

( 3) Check whether the wiring circuits collide; 

(4) It may also be caused by poor contact of the power circuit of thermocouple calibration furnace, find out the fault point and deal with it.
